Instrument Support Engineer

For our international medical partner, Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Instrumental Support Engineer for one year with option for extension.

RDS R&D is structured in four networks and four chapter areas. The international teams are located on various sites and countries across the globe.

Tasks

• Technical expert and point of contact for our internal customers regarding service aspects
• Installation and commissioning of instruments
• Autonomous troubleshooting and logging of hardware and software issues
• Deployment and servicing of various instruments and their configurations
• Documentation according to quality standards
• Support of global development trials

Must Haves

• Min. Higher educational degree in technical engineering or life sciences discipline (e.g. Medical devices, Electronic/Automation, Mechatronics) or corresponding job experience including apprenticeship
• Min. 3 - 5+ years experience as Service Engineer for (Lab)Instruments, preferably within the regulated environment
• Know-how in hardware, software and IT-infrastructure as well as experience in servicing of diagnostics instruments
• Min. 3 - 5+ years experience in resolution of technical problems in an interdisciplinary environments (laboratory, software, hardware, workflow)
• Experience in and/or willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and in labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2
• Fluency in German (spoken and written) and good business English (min. B2 Level)
• Customer- and service-oriented, enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills, autonomous and proactive working style
• Ability to communicate with different internal stakeholders, translate and understand their business needs
